Background |
Embedded systems is becoming a such kind of technology, it includes processor, micro-controller, SoC, FPGA, DSP. Also, as a production with embedded software, tools and embedded systems applications, embedded systems is playing a more important role in Chinese traditional manufacturing innovation, also in green electronics and Olympic Games electronics.
System-on-chip (SoC) is the hybrid of evolution in integrated circuits and embedded software. With market's rising demand for high integration level, small size and high performance, such as those by mobile phones, portable terminals, SoC is attracting more and more attention. Xi'an is China's important microelectronics research and development base, which accommodates distinguished domestic universities and research institutes. To fit in with the National Electronics Exhibition and the professional background of School of Software and Microelectronics, Peking University, we will focus on applications of 32-bit processor/SoC in areas like communications and multimedia. |
