Background |
Aerospace and industrial control has been important components and engine of development for electronic design and embedded systems. Back in early 1980s, the earliest applications of embedded systems are in the aeronautic/ astronautic field, then the is radiated to the civilian systems, such as industrial control and communication systems.
Over the past 2 to 3 years, LXI, PXI, PICMG, and other industry standards organizations have published numerous new technical standards, which have driven the growth of embedded computer in each vertical market domain. As for the outlook into 2008, there will be more applications in a wide variety of industrial domains. Moreover, the dual-core processor will become the market mainstream this year; in most industrial computer systems, it will play a more important role. Customers also care more about the reliability and the long-term guarantee of supply.
Beijing has not only been the hosting region where tremendous scientific research institutes and universities flock together, but also accommodate the core management departments of the aeronautics/astronautics and industrial control. We believe that this conference will represent a rich source of informations on technologies and products, and will become a bridge of communication between engineers and vendors. |
